Eli Dueker presented on the topic of disaster microbiology, exploring the connections between severe weather events and human health. Andrew Patterson shared findings on the use of the lab’s water quality equipment to provide rapid detection of microbial indoor air quality.

They also took part in a number of informative sessions and symposiums on infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, and the latest developments in microbial genomics. Attending the conference was a great chance for both researchers to show their work and learn from other scientists.
